Automotive companies 'race' build plant in Brazil - China Automaker JAC bikethis weekend said it would disburse 500 million dollars to build a plant in the state of Bahia, Brazil. Vehicle manufacturer is the first overseas factory for JAC.
As quoted by AFP, the plant would begin operating in 2014 with a productioncapacity of 100 thousand units / year.

The Brazilian government recently raised taxes of entry for imported vehicles thatdo not reach 65 percent of its components made in Brazil or the member countries of Mercosur (the association of South American countries).

JAC follow in the footsteps of General Motors, Volkswagen, Fiat and Ford arebuilding factories in the country.
Last week Nissan also revealed plans to build a 1.5 billion dollar factory in Brazilwhile Renault will add to the facilities at the Brazil plant funding 265 million dollars.
